Kathleen Gauthier specializes in early California architecture, still life, landscapes, and portraits.  Her painterly photographic style is reminiscent of California’s early impressionistic landscape photographers.  Kathleen holds a degree in photography and is currently developing a wedding photography and portrait business that will be launched in 2012.  

Kathleen has been teaching photography classes throughout Ventura County.  She has led numerous workshops and classes in California, including beginning Digital Photography, Photographic Lighting and Composition, Developing your Creative Eye and How to Photograph your Artwork.  A selection of her prints may be viewed at the Ventura County Museum gift shop.

A long time resident of Central California, Kathleen served as the creative director of the Santa Ynez Valley Camera Club, co-artistic director for the Faces of Ojai Camera Club.  She was an instructor at Focus on the Masters in Ventura, California, and held membership in the Artists Union Gallery, F/nine Studio, Santa Barbara, and the Ojai Art Center.  She was also a featured artist at the Reston Art Gallery in Reston, Virginia.  While residing in Northern California, Kathleen was represented by the Chico Paper Company, one of Northern California’s leading art galleries.

In addition to California, she has photographed in Paris, Prague, Spain, Washington D.C., and the states of Virginia, Washington, New York, and Vermont.
